- Diana Jauregui
Diana Jauregui is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who believes everyone deserves a safe and compassionate space to grow, heal, and reconnect with their inner strength.
With particular expertise in trauma, anxiety, and depression, she works effectively across the lifespan, from children whose energy and curiosity inspire her work, to adults whose diverse experiences and perspectives she deeply values, to older adults whose wisdom enriches the therapeutic relationship. Diana specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families, helping them navigate challenges, build stronger connections, and grow in a supportive environment. As a first-generation professional, she is passionate about serving her community by providing culturally informed guidance and working to reduce mental health stigma so clients feel empowered to prioritize their well-being.
Her therapeutic approach integrates multiple evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused techniques, and Family Systems theory. This comprehensive toolkit allows her to tailor treatment to each client's developmental stage and unique needs. Diana's TF-CBT training provides structured support for children and families processing traumatic experiences, while her ACT approach helps clients develop psychological flexibility and values-based action. Her solution-focused perspective emphasizes strengths and possibilities, and her family systems lens ensures she understands how relational dynamics influence individual well-being. For younger clients, Diana incorporates play therapy, creating a natural environment for emotional expression and healing.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands (2020) and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University (2022), Diana brings contemporary training and solid academic foundations to her therapeutic practice. Her education provided both a comprehensive understanding of psychological theory and research as well as advanced clinical training to support individuals and families. Diana's commitment to culturally informed care reflects her understanding that effective therapy honors each person's cultural context, lived experiences, and community connections—particularly important for first-generation families and those navigating multiple cultural identities.
Outside the therapy room, Diana finds joy and renewal in simple pleasures that keep her grounded and energized. She loves spending quality time with her family, recognizing that meaningful connection is essential to well-being. Diana enjoys experimenting with new baking recipes, finding creativity and satisfaction in the process of creating something delicious to share with others. She takes regular walks to clear her mind and enjoy the outdoors, understanding the restorative power of movement and nature. Music is a big part of Diana's life; it inspires her and consistently lifts her mood, providing both emotional expression and daily joy. These practices reflect the balance and self-care she encourages in her clients.
Diana specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families, helping them navigate challenges and build stronger connections through developmentally appropriate interventions, including play therapy and family systems approaches.
As a first-generation professional, she brings cultural understanding and lived experience to her work, providing culturally informed guidance while actively reducing mental health stigma in communities where seeking help may carry additional barriers.
Diana creates a therapeutic environment where clients across the lifespan feel heard, supported, and understood, offering practical tools and confidence-building while ensuring they leave therapy feeling empowered and hopeful about their growth.
