ALBA WELLNESS GROUP

Therapy in Panorama City, CA

Compassionate, Culturally Responsive Therapy for Adults, Teens, Children & Couples

What We Do

Life doesn't always give you a clear path forward. Maybe anxiety has become your constant companion, making everyday decisions feel impossible. Maybe your teenager has withdrawn behind a closed door, and you don't know how to reach them anymore.

Perhaps your relationship feels more like a standoff than a partnership, or your child is struggling at school, and you can't figure out why. These are the moments when having someone genuinely in your corner, someone who sees you, not just your symptoms, changes everything.

Alba Wellness Group exists because we believe therapy should feel like coming home to yourself. Our Panorama City office, located on Roscoe Blvd. in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, was built to be a space where every person who walks through our door feels they belong. We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, child and teen therapy, EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, and anger management, all delivered by clinicians who are trained, compassionate, and culturally responsive. We have Spanish-speaking therapists on staff because we know that healing is deeper when it happens in the language closest to your heart.

This isn't a practice that treats you like a number on a waitlist. We're rooted in this community, serving families across Panorama City, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Arleta, and Sun Valley, because we understand the unique pressures, strengths, and cultural richness of the people who live here. When your therapist understands your world, therapy actually works. That's the difference we're here to make.

Alba Wellness Group was founded by Patricia Alba, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of experience in trauma and mood disorder treatment. With offices in Panorama City and Lancaster, California, the practice provides culturally responsive therapy for adults, children, teens, and couples, specializing in anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ affirming care, EMDR, and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy.

How We Do It

Alba Wellness Group offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic services designed to meet individuals, children, teens, and couples wherever they are on their journey.

At our Panorama City location, you'll find a full suite of evidence-based treatments, from traditional individual therapy and couples counseling to specialized modalities like EMDR for trauma processing and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy for treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. Our anger management program combines individual and group approaches for those who need structured support, whether by personal choice or court mandate.

What makes our practice different is how therapy begins. Every new client starts with a free consultation, a no-pressure conversation where we learn about what's bringing you in, answer your questions, and match you with the therapist who's the right fit for your needs, your background, and your goals. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all treatment plans. Your therapist will collaborate with you to build an approach that reflects your values, your lived experience, and the real outcomes you want to see in your life.

For children ages 5 through 12, our clinicians use play, art, movement, and creative modalities that meet kids where they are developmentally, allowing them to express what they may not yet have words for. For teens, we create a judgment-free space that honors the complexity of adolescence, with particular expertise in supporting LGBTQ+ youth and teens of color who may not see themselves reflected in traditional therapy settings. Couples work with skilled guides who help them navigate communication breakdowns, rebuild trust, and reconnect emotionally.

Every service we offer at our Panorama City office is grounded in the understanding that healing doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when you feel truly seen, heard, and valued, and when your therapist understands the community you come from. That's the standard of care the San Fernando Valley deserves, and it's what we deliver every day.

Our Process

Step 1

Book Your Free Consultation

Getting started is simple. Call us at (818) 741-2906 or fill out our online contact form to schedule a free consultation. This is a brief, no-pressure conversation, typically 15 to 20 minutes, where we learn about what's bringing you in, answer your questions about therapy, and begin to understand your needs. There's no commitment required. We want you to feel confident that this is the right fit before you take the next step. You can ask about insurance coverage, therapist availability, Spanish-language sessions, or anything else on your mind.

Step 2

Get Matched with Your Therapist

Based on your consultation, we'll match you with the clinician who is the best fit for your needs, personality, and goals. We consider therapeutic specialties, cultural background, language preferences, and scheduling availability. If you're seeking care for your child, teen, or as a couple, we'll pair you with a therapist trained specifically in those areas. This matching process is one of the most important things we do, because the relationship between you and your therapist is the foundation of effective treatment.

Step 3

Begin Your First Session

Your first full session typically takes place within one to two weeks of your consultation. During this initial appointment, usually 50 to 60 minutes, your therapist will get to know your history, understand your current challenges, and begin collaborating with you on a treatment plan tailored to your goals. There is no pressure to share more than you're ready for. This is the beginning of a relationship built on trust, respect, and your pace.

Step 4

Build Momentum with Ongoing Care

Therapy is most effective with consistency. Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and schedule. Over time, you'll notice shifts in how you respond to stress, how you communicate, and how you feel in your own skin. Your therapist will regularly check in on your progress and adjust the approach as you grow. Whether your journey involves 10 sessions or ongoing support, we're here as long as you need us.

Our Approach

At Alba Wellness Group, our approach begins with a foundational belief: you are not broken, and therapy is not about fixing you.

It's about creating the conditions for you to discover your own strengths, process what's been weighing you down, and build the life you actually want. Our founder, Patricia Alba, LCSW, built this practice on over 20 years of clinical experience with a clear vision, that therapy should be rooted in community care, cultural humility, and genuine human connection. That philosophy shapes every interaction, from your first phone call to your final session.

Our clinicians draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, because no single approach works for every person or every problem. Your treatment plan isn't pulled from a template. It's built collaboratively with you, reflecting your history, your values, your culture, and the specific outcomes you want to achieve. When working with children, we prioritize play-based and creative interventions. With teens, we lead with affirmation and autonomy. With couples, we focus on rebuilding communication and emotional safety. Every modality serves the person in front of us.

What sets our Panorama City practice apart is our commitment to the community we serve. The San Fernando Valley is not a monolith; it's a tapestry of cultures, languages, experiences, and family structures. We've built a team that reflects that diversity, including bilingual Spanish-speaking therapists, clinicians with specialized training in LGBTQ+ affirming care, and providers who understand the impact of systemic inequity on mental health. We don't just welcome diversity. We center it. When therapists are supported and valued, which is a core principle of how we operate, clients receive the best possible care. That's not just our belief; it's the standard we hold ourselves to every single day.
